Hong Kong Army Cadets is a non-profit, non-political, and government-registered civilian uniform organization in Hong Kong. Through the use of selected subjects in military education, it is our objective to offer a curriculum of both interesting and challenging topics to develop law abiding and responsible leaders for Hong Kong.
The organization is divided into two main elements, the Cadets Cadre and Headquarters (HQ):
- Cadets Cadre: Junior Cadets from primary schools and Cadets from secondary schools
- HQ: Adult Officers and Non-Commissioned Officers (NCOs) who are responsible for leading and instruct our cadets. They come from all walks of life and respectable professions, including some who are former Commonwealth or regular British military personnel.
While most of our training is conducted in Hong Kong, we also maintain a training depot in southern China, due mainly to the availability of open space and affordable resources there.
We train twice a month over the weekend, with the occasional community service projects and special training camps over long holidays. In the future, we will develop more exchange and training opportunities with overseas countries such as the United Kingdom, Canada and Australia etc.
